A matrix of black and white squares.
The Horse tries to understand the ancient language of the Castle (gaeilge). The Castle tries to understand the strange movements and sounds of the horse (english). Worlds apart, they stand together on a single chess board, waiting for battle – their own battle to understand each other!
This unique bilingual (Gaeilge / English) theatrical experience weaves together traditional and non-traditional art forms to illuminate the world of An Capall agus an Caislean. CUPS AND CROWNS presents a wonderfully giddy new show about (mis) communication.
