'Creative Spaces'

Cups and Crowns workshops and schools programme is founded in aesthetic education. This methodology embraces the development of young people’s emotional, cognitive and imaginative attributes. Our aesthetic approach seeks to nurture young people’s appreciative, reflective participatory engagement with the arts and in so doing, providing a catalyst for education.

Cups and Crowns schools touring programme consists of an age specific production - AN CAPALL AGUS AN CAISLEAN and 'Creative Spaces' workshops with the students.

A short 'Chatback' session will happen after the performance. The
facilitator will open up dialogue with the young audience about their experience of the story. This session will involve, Inquiry, Discussion and Reflection.

Schools will also receive a 'Teacher Activity Pack' with suggestions of follow-on artistic activities linked to the performance. This is a wonderful way to extend the artistic experience for everyone.

Cups and Crowns can faciliate specific Drama or Art projects. We can design Individual workshops or a series of tailored workshops for any age group. Multi-disciplinary Art workshops with skilled professional teaching artists can also be organised.
